Who is responsible
I’m Heli Bevan, an artist and designer based in Gloucestershire, UK. I am responsible for how personal information is used for this website and enquiries sent to me. For privacy questions or requests, email helibevan@gmail.com.
This notice covers helibevan.shop. Fourthwall provides the shop’s checkout and order services, which also have their own shop privacy policy.
Information used and why
- When you email me: your name, email address, message and any attachments you choose to send are used to respond and manage our conversation. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running my creative business.
- When you browse: hosting and content providers receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details, requested pages and request times. This supports delivery, troubleshooting and security, based on the legitimate interest in maintaining a working, secure website.
- When you shop: Fourthwall receives the product options, quantities and currency needed to prepare your checkout. It collects the contact, delivery and payment information needed for your purchase on its own checkout. This website does not collect or store your payment-card details.
- Order enquiries and records: you may send me an order reference or other purchase details. Fourthwall may also make customer and order information available to me for managing the shop. I use relevant information to help with enquiries and maintain necessary business records, relying on legitimate interests or a legal obligation where one applies.
Please only send information relevant to your enquiry. I do not use your messages to sign you up to a mailing list, and this website does not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Your bag, cookies and social links
Your bag is held temporarily in the open page. It is not saved in cookies or browser storage and resets when you reload the page. The storefront does not add advertising pixels, analytics scripts or embedded social feeds.
Product images and live catalogue information are supplied through Fourthwall. Following a TikTok link or continuing to Fourthwall takes you to a separate service, where that provider’s privacy and cookie information applies.
Service providers and sharing
The website uses Vercel for hosting, Google’s Gmail for email, and Fourthwall for the catalogue, product images and checkout. Information needed to provide those services is handled by the relevant provider. Information may also be shared where required by law or needed to resolve a legal claim.
These providers operate internationally and may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Their notices explain their processing and applicable transfer arrangements: Vercel privacy notice, Google privacy policy and Fourthwall privacy policy. Email me if you would like further information about the arrangements relevant to your data.
How long information is kept
Enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to handle the conversation and any follow-up. Relevant records may need to be kept longer for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes. The criteria are whether the enquiry is still open, whether there is an ongoing relationship, and whether a legal requirement or unresolved claim requires the record.
Hosting logs and information held by Google or Fourthwall are also subject to the relevant service’s retention arrangements. The bag on this website lasts only for the current page session.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Your right to object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including the uses described above. Email helibevan@gmail.com to make a request. I may need enough information to confirm your identity and locate the relevant records.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through its complaints service. You do not have to contact me first.
Updates to this notice
This notice may be updated if the website or the way information is handled changes. The date above identifies the latest version.
